It is - fairly - considered by many as a small earthly paradise and is flooded every year by thousands of tourists. Furthermore, Elafonisi is part of the Natura Protected Area Network and is an ecosystem of exceptional ecological importance.

The beautiful beach of the area has the shape of a peninsula which joins the mainland with the exotic island of Elafonisi. On either side of this peninsula, nature has created many small bays where you can choose to settle. The area has crystal clear waters, making it an excellent choice for those who carry children with them. If the weather conditions are good, you can cross the shallow waters and reach Elafonisi on foot. 

In the surrounding area, you will also find showers, changing rooms and dozens of beach umbrellas.
